Sam Hensley has been working in churches as a musician for more than 20 years, and in audio/visual more than 10 years. In his experience, all churches have one thing in common: a lack of knowledge and understanding around AV equipment. Many churches have piles of cables laying around, random microphones in drawers, and speakers covered in dust—all worth a lot of money!
Over the past decade, Sam has helped many parishes figure out what they have, what they can use, what they can sell, and what is past its usability. He has also facilitated the sale of equipment, leading to recouping of thousands of dollars for parishes. Now he wants to help you do the same!
Sam has also noticed a lot of churches, when undergoing renovation or upgrades, are being oversold, or sold unhelpful equipment by the big installation houses. Installation houses are in the business of selling as much as they can, and making as much money as they can. This results in churches sometimes being sold six wireless microphones, when they only need two!
Sam can help you discern your audio/visual needs, approaching it from years of liturgical and technical experience, and can help you interface with the installers to get exactly what you need to be successful in your ministry, and save money in the process.
